![]() ![]() If marijuana buds were sugar, butane extraction would be like boiling sugar water until it becomes thick. If the process of creating butane hash oil is still a bit hazy (pun intended), think about it in another, more familiar way. The butane is then allowed to evaporate and the resulting concentrate is an oily substance aptly called butane hash oil. Thanks to some really complicated and technical sciency stuff that we don’t need to be concerned with, the butane bonds with the THC in the buds and essentially pulls it from the plants. Traditional marijuana buds are packed into a tube or pipe and then butane-more commonly known as lighter fluid-is forced through the contents. Marijuana wax is most commonly made through a process known as butane extraction. Creating Marijuana Wax: Butane Extraction Are you starting to see the appeal?īut how is marijuana wax made and how does it get to be so potent? Here’s how. ![]() It means that wax contains more THC than your traditional marijuana (sometimes 80% or more). Now before you get grossed out by its appearance, look back at the first sentence in this section. We’ll explain them in the next section.įor now, it’s enough to know that marijuana wax got its name because, in its final form, it looks like earwax or, more appetizingly, thick honey. If those terms are foreign to you, don’t worry. Marijuana wax is a form of hash oil concentrate (or just “concentrate”) often produced using a process known as butane hash oil extraction. It’s these cannabis concentrates that we’ve come here to talk about today and we’ll be focusing on one in particular: marijuana wax (or just “wax”). Dabbing involves vaporizing marijuana concentrates, so, while it’s similar to smoking the traditional spliff, it’s also very different. Take for example, all the terms we have for dating Mary Jane (oops, there’s another one): bake, toke, hit the hippie lettuce, rip, get irie, bug out, and many, many more.īut recently, a new term- dabbing-has been growing in popularity as marijuana aficionados discover its benefits. Marijuana smokers have always been a creative lot.

Once the Postal Service took to the stage, however, the mood changed dramatically. While the set seemed a bit long to some in the crowd, the songs fit well with the material The Postal Service would play, and Ashworth’s self-deprecating humor kept the audience engaged-at one point he noted, “This is the song we made a video for, so hopefully you like it. The songs might be described as a slightly more depressing version of The Postal Service, with Ashworth’s vocals sounding more reminiscent of someone like David Bazan with a little Connor Oberst croak for good measure. Setting up camp behind a vintage Fender Rhodes electric piano with various drum machines and synth instruments surrounding him, Ashworth turned in a set of mostly new tracks from his latest album, lasting about forty minutes. A one-man-band in the Postal Service vein, Ashworth started things off on a subdued note, interacting with the crowd in a humble, awkwardly charming manner. ![]() Opening the show was Owen Ashworth’s Advance Base, formerly known as Casiotone for the Painfully Alone. We caught the band at their June 8 show at the LC Pavillion in Columbus. Both Gibbard and Tamborello as well as third member Jenny Lewis (whose vocals appeared on nearly every Postal Service track) would be performing, along with Laura Burhenn of Omaha-based The Mynabirds on additional vocals and instruments. Since that time fans have clamored for a second album, and while Give Up was just released as a 2-disc, 10th anniversary deluxe edition with B-sides and a few “new” tracks, fans were instead treated to the announcement that the band would be going on tour for the first time since the album’s release. Songs appeared in movies, TV shows, and were remixed and covered by artists as wide-ranging as Iron & Wine and The Shins. When Ben Gibbard (of Death Cab for Cutie) and Jimmy Tamborello (of Dntel) released Give Up in 2003, their collaborative album under the Postal Service banner, no one could have predicted the runaway success it became.
(Front-wheel-drive Passports have 7.5 inches.) All-wheel-drive Passports also have 0.8 inch more ground clearance than the Pilot, making them more capable off-road, for a total of 8.1 inches. The Passport is 6.0 inches shorter, almost all of it coming off the rear with the removal of the third row. There are also a few key differences, starting with the most obvious one: size. The same multimedia system is found in both vehicles, and climbing into the Passport felt very familiar to what I experienced when testing the 2019 Pilot. Beyond that, the two SUVs have the same powertrain and even have identical dashboards. The Passport and the Pilot ride on the same 111-inch wheelbase (also shared with the Ridgeline, Honda’s mid-size pickup truck). Compare the Passport with those vehicles here. The Passport now competes in that class against the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer, also recently reborn, and other five-seat mid-size mainstays like the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ford Edge. There hadn’t been anything between the compact CR-V and the three-row Pilot - a class that’s becoming increasingly crowded. The Passport plugs a mid-sized gap in Honda’s lineup. It would be a mistake, however, to think of the Passport as just another clone Honda has given it enough distinction that I prefer the Passport to its larger sibling in a few key areas. Much like its predecessor, this new Passport also shares much of its DNA with another vehicle, but this time it’s one of Honda’s own: the three-row Pilot. The previous Passport, which was discontinued in 2002, was a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo that simply wore the Honda name. The 2019 Honda Passport might be an all-new vehicle, but its name is not. Her cutie mark has three apples and she wear a hat from her father bright mac when he gone.Īpplejack is a brave, reliable, strong, mature, and hard-working pony, although headstrong about doing things on her own. Her body is orange, and her eyes are green. Overall, has moments but mediocre.Applejack received positive feedback from fans and others and is one of the most loved main characters of the series. She doesn't come over as particularly bright here and is rather stubborn. Mostly both are bland and while Applejack has been characterised worse to me actually she has been much cleverer before and since and more likeable. The character writing and interaction disappoints as well, there are moments with the best material going to Rainbow Dash by far, but every single character here has been written far better than here in this season, before and since. If you watch a 'My Little Pony Friendship is Magic' to be entertained and moved, you are likely to be disappointed on both counts as the episode emotionally is empty. Sadly, a vast majority of it is not interesting at all, is very bland and sometimes irrelevant. ![]() The story is paper thin and at its worst non-existent, with far too much derivative over-stretched padding. Very obvious and in your face, good on paper but poorly executed. To me, the message is not well delivered. There was a lot of talk here, most of it had nothing to it and didn't sound natural at all. Some of it was bizarre as well, Applejack's way of feeding the pigs was beyond embarrassing. The writing had moments, but mostly was very awkward (some of the most awkward of the whole season and Season 6 had its fair share of questionable writing) and phoned in. The writing and story are what bring it down significantly, to the extent that they ruin the episode. Too much works against "Applejack's Day Off" sadly. Rarity and Applejack have some nice dialogue together and the Spoiled Rich cameo was nice. Despite it being an episode with Applejack as the lead, the best character here is Rainbow Dash who is very humorous here and is written far more tastefully than she was in "Newbie Dash". The voice acting is fine, that is an asset that has never been a problem in 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic'. ![]() ![]() The music is characterful and has atmosphere. The animation is bright, colourful and beautifully detailed as always. Not a dreadful episode but not a good one and one of the season's worst, not a good position to be in as Season 6 was one of the show's weaker seasons. "Applejack's Day Off" is close to nothing in this regard. That episode left a bad taste in my mouth, but at least it had moments that made me feel something positive. After two great previous episodes in "A Hearth's Warming Tail" and "The Saddle Row Review", it is sad that Season 6 returned to disappointment in an episode that is every bit as mediocre as "Newbie Dash" and perhaps even more so. "Applejack's Day Off" is one of the mediocre at best ones. Her episodes, or the ones that she is the lead in, are variable in quality too, some great, some good, some mediocre at best and some somewhere in between those extremes. Her character writing is inconsistent, she is often great but she is less so when she either has little to do or has her flaws (stubborness and aggression being the big ones) over-emphasised. Just to say right now before anybody judges, Applejack is not a bad character at all to me. Complete Puzzle Mode to obtain the Grand Ribbon (Again, lots of guides) Obtain and level up all drives and summons ( Great Guide Here) Additionally, before fighting them, I would: Maybe even 70-80 if they're really troubling you. That being said, I wouldn't fight any of the absent silhouettes until immediately before/after the last Xemnas fight (the one with all the different stages). ![]() The fights come more down to skill and strategy than level. Ultimately there's no reason to use this Keyblade compared to the other options. The absent silhouette fights can be won at any level (I've beaten them all multiple times at lvl 1). This means low-health players who need to cast Cure have to take damage to get healed. Hidden Dragon's ability gives the player more MP depending on the amount of damage they take. Hidden Dragon: This Keyblade's design isn't bad, but that can't save it from being one of the worst Keyblades in the game purely off its barebone stats and weak ability. The design is also nothing particularly special. On top of that, its ability to turn Munny into orbs to fuel Kingdom Hearts 2's Drive Forms is also not exactly an incentive to equip. Its somewhat-high Magic stat makes up for that, but that stat is outclassed by other Keyblades that actually have more than 0 in Strength. Sweet Memories: This Keyblade has the honor of being the first in the series with a 0 Strength stat. The Keyblade's stats are equivalent to the Kingdom Key, though, which has a better ability for combat and is already outclassed by the time this key can be obtained. ![]() If this Keyblade had any kind of beneficial ability, it could very likely be S-tier, but as it stands, it takes up the bottom of A, just edging out of B-tier for having one of the game's best designs.įollow the Wind: It has an interesting, axe-like design and an ability that can be useful in niche situations where gathering a lot of orbs quickly is necessary. Winner's Proof isn't useless by any means - it has the highest Magic stat of any Keyblade, and decent Strength as well - but its ability negates the player's ability to gain experience. Winner's Proof: This is one of the more difficult Keyblades to obtain in Kingdom Hearts 2, and thus it's a little strange that it isn't more useful. Its design is also far more tame than those of the same Strength. Its ability serves some utility for players who like to spam Magic attacks, but by the time the player can obtain Oblivion they might as well just get Ultima Weapon and have a stronger ability and Magic stat. It's one of the best Keyblades in the original Kingdom Hearts, but the reason it places in a lower tier here is largely due to not being quite as useful as many of the other endgame Keyblades. Oblivion: This is the only Keyblade besides the two in S-tier with a 6 in its Strength stat. ![]() The Final Fantasy 7-esque design and highest Strength stat still keep it in A. Its ability holds it back from taking a higher place on the tier list, though, as it actively punishes the player for using such a powerful weapon. Similar to Rumbling Rose, it's not exactly a Keyblade designed for Magic builds (although Guardian Soul at least has a 1 in its Magic stat) but its ability to make reaction commands stronger is one that Strength build players should keep in mind for the end game.įenrir: This Keyblade holds the highest Strength stat in Kingdom Hearts 2 at a whopping 7, which combines with a long range to make this weapon incredibly lethal. Guardian Soul: The sleek and dark design compliments this Keyblade having one of the highest Strength stats in the game. Its design looks ferocious, even though it may leave the player questioning how Sora uses it without damaging himself. It has a 0 in Magic, making it completely unviable for anyone with a Magic build, but for players focusing on Strength, Rumbling Rose's ability to use multiple finishers successively can make it extremely useful. Rumbling Rose: This Keyblade has one of the highest Strength stats outside of those in the S-tier. Circle of Life: On top of being an impressively primal design, Circle of Life boasts a solid Strength stat and an ability that encourages a lot of magic use, making this a well-rounded Keyblade that is obtainable early on and viable for a long time. |
